Robert Ryan

Robert Ryan was admitted as an Irish solicitor in 1986 and as an English solicitor in 1991. Robert has over 30 years’ experience in commercial law, working in practice both in Dublin and in the City of London. He specialises in banking and corporate law, and has particular expertise in the law of payments. He is the author of various articles in Irish and international legal and business publications on banking and corporate law, and has been noted as ‘highly recommended’ for banking and finance law.

Robert is the Vice President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, a past member of the Council of the Law Society and a current member of the Law Society Task Force on the Legal Services Regulation Act. Robert is a member of the International Bar Association (corporate finance, banking and insolvency committees). Robert is the firm’s representative to the International Business Law Consortium, a network of medium sized international law firms.

Gerard O'Connell

Gerard O’Connell qualified as an Irish solicitor in 2004. He has broad practice experience encompassing corporate and commercial law, employment law, civil and commercial litigation and many aspects of land and conveyancing law work. He is also an experienced and successful litigator having litigated at all levels of the Irish Courts System from District Court to High Court and before Hearings of Oireachtas (Irish Parliamentary) Committees.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Parchment – the award winning quarterly publication of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. He is currently the Vice President and Chairman of the National Executive of the majority partner in Ireland’s current coalition government and has acted over the last 20 years in an advisory capacity at all levels of the Irish political process.
